Self Love Challenge Recap

I did a Self Love Challenge last week on Instagram Live.
Please enjoy this quick recap:
Day 1: Permission
Permission is about allowing ourselves to witness ALL of the parts of ourselves. The good AND the bad. The healed AND the broken. ESPECIALLY the parts that we tend to find unacceptable or “wrong.” In order to love ourselves better we must recognize whenever we are in a hurry to change ourselves out of a place of shame, instead of a place of empowerment.
Journal Prompt:
Are you giving yourself FULL permission to be who and where you are in your life right now or are you rushing to escape this version of you?
Day 2: Acknowledgment
Self love requires our ACKNOWLEDGEMENT. Of what is really true. Of what we have been choosing. Of what we are truly capable of. Acknowledgement isn’t about what we’re DOING it’s about who we are BEING. We are either acknowledging ourselves or denying the truth. You’ll know what you are choosing based on how you are feeling. If you feel really bad, you’re probably avoiding this step of acknowledgment. If you feel a sudden shift and a release, you are finally acknowledging yourself properly.
Journal Prompt:
What can you acknowledge today that is true for you, that you might have been avoiding until now?
Day 3: Forgiveness
Self love requires our forgiveness. This is the most transformative part of self love in my opinion. It can also be the HARDEST part. All it requires is for you to free yourself from what you have been choosing to believe about yourself. It’s you consciously saying sorry to yourself for holding you hostage in a place of guilt & shame that has been totally optional this whole time. It’s saying, you don’t deserve guilt and punishment…you deserve LOVE and forgiveness and the freedom to feel better.
Journal Prompt:
How can I forgive myself today and begin again with how I want to decide to treat myself?
